The Usand Group is proud to announce its’ support of the First Nations University of Canada’s 40th Anniversary, a celebration of 40 years of Indigenous Education.  This three-day event will focus on the ‘success, perseverance and communities’ of those involved with the University. The celebration will run from September 9 to 12 and include a variety of events from a Round Dance on Friday evening to a much-anticipated Capital Campaign Project announcement on Monday morning.

With a continued focus on collaboration, education and consultation, Usand, sees this junction as a natural fit for our firm. Our customized financial solutions provide not only capital gains for a community, they also contribute to the overall prosperity by providing social capital – connections and partnerships that create long-term value and change. This unique approach aligns with the University’s vision for capacity-building and mutually beneficial relationships with industry, government, communities, members, students and alumni.

This union will continue, as The Usand Group is pleased to announce a three-year commitment to the First Nations University’s “Financial Empowerment Initiative” in partnership with Forward Vision Games (FVG). According to Meaghan Daly, founder of FVG, “The course will help develop knowledge and awareness of how indigenous culture impacts students’ relationships and experiences with the financial world”. Our firm’s emphasis remains strong on exposure to and engagement in the financial sector for Indigenous students.Through the curriculum, students will be given the opportunity to contribute to not only their future, but that of their community.

We look forward to many more successful and synergetic years with the University.  Happy 40th!
